More Zombie Books by Jane Austen

So in keeping with my Easter/Rising from the Grave theme here is a book that I have not yet read but am dying too:)

I just got this email article from Publishers Weekly -
Zombie Mash-up Lands Author Six-Figure Deal
By Rachel Deahl
Seth Grahame-Smith's surprise hit from Quirk Books, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, may have been launched as something of a lark, but that hasn't stopped its author from landing a major deal. Grand Central Press editor Ben Greenberg has just inked a two-book deal with Grahame-Smith for a rumored $575,000; Grahame-Smith's first book for GCP, which currently has no pub date, will be Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. (A rep from GCP would not comment on the size of the advance.)

Here is a link for the book because like me you will want to run out and buy it. Two of my favorite things, uppity Englishmen and brain eating zombies....wait, maybe that can be considered the same thing just ask Princess Di. Oh, I know BAD, BAD, BAD. Must smack hand with ruler.
Oh, and I love the title for his new book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. So John Wilkes Booth was a vampire, that makes sense.

Easter!

What does everyone think about when they think about Easter?
Candy...mmm, those Cadbury eggs!
Bunnies, baby chickens, fuzzy ducklings, hardboiled eggs that get lost in the yard and later the dog finds and rolls in and you have to wash him because he smells like something a demon wiped off the bottom of his shoe.............sorry.
Ok, well how about resurrection and rebirth?
I don't know about you but that makes me think of....

Say it, say it out loud

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams

I defy any middle to high school student with any sense of humor not to love these books. I always describe them as "Monty Python in Space".

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

My 1st YA recommendation for blogdom.
I've been working in libraryland for 9 years and am a READER. I also have three children that read alot, ages 11, 8, and 4.
I am aware that there are alot of books being writen for this market out there and I will try to recommend one a day. If it particularly girly or something that mostly boys might like I will say so but I will try to stick with books everyone will like.
These books are all test driven by myself and at least one of my children.
Hope this helps at least one person out there.
